About Marc

Marc Greenblum is a Fine Artist, Illustrator, Muralist, and Film Maker from Bellmore, New York who earned his BFA in Film and Illustration from the Los Angeles Art Center College of Design. His initial works were inspired by artists Andy Warhol and Jean Basquiat, later becoming influenced by the photo-realism of Ralph Goings and Charles Bell. He began to develop an art style that used airbrushing to create anamorphic and photo realistic art work, which has been featured in galleries and print media across the world.

Over time, he began working with numerous genres of experimental art that included mixed media and sculpture, influenced by Colombian artist Marisol Escobar which lead to the development of his own unique style of work called the 'Broken Portrait'. Drawing upon his personal spiritual journey and understanding of human nature, this style of art looks to highlight the sometimes fractured or 'broken' nature of a human's psyche and spirit.

He now resides in South Florida, where he spent a number of years teaching the Visual Arts to help his students to create works in multiple mediums, curating a number of elaborate and successful shows which have earned his students various awards including the Scholastic National Gold Key Award. He currently works as an Art Teacher at Ben Gamla Charter School in Plantation, Fl.
